Sales & Marketing Administrator

Mapmechanics is a leading specialist in the provision of digital mapping, geospatial data and optimisation software for business intelligence (BI), the Internet of Things (IoT), logistics planning, telematics, scheduling optimisation, territory management and drive-time analysis.

The Role

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will work directly with a variety of staff and customers to help ensure the success of the company by making things run smoothly. You will need to wear lots of hats and will be required in many different parts of the company.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Becoming an expert in the company administration systems, accurately maintaining data
  • Using our system to process sales orders, create licences and send out data and software updates
  • Manage incoming leads and enquires by phone and email, logging them correctly in the company CRM and ensuring they are followed-up in a timely manner, sending out sales literature as appropriate
  • Provide support to the Marketing team for a variety of activities including events and direct mail campaigns
  • Liaise with suppliers and place orders for a variety of products and services
  • Act as receptionist answering the telephone, greeting guests, organising refreshments
  • Take minutes at meetings and send out emails to clients, written professionally
  • Organise meetings, travel and accommodation for other staff members
  • Help organise the general office management, building management, filing and administration
  • Be proactive in suggesting ways in which the company may run more effectively

The successful candidate will be proactive and flexible with a great eye for detail – you’ll be able to turn things round quickly without making mistakes. Already computer literate (very comfortable with Microsoft Office & the internet), you will also be keen to learn new systems and ways of working. You will need to be proactive and super organised – someone always on top of your to-do list and capable of helping to organise your colleagues. Numerate and fluent in English, you will have a friendly, positive attitude that gets things done, quickly and efficiently.
