This is especially costly, when goods are heavy and the fuel cost of delivering to locations isolated from other deliveries is very high.

With GeoConcept’s easy to use topological queries, a single step can determine which prospects lie within a specified distance of existing routes or customers. GeoConcept can then provide a list in your preferred format (Excel, Access report etc.) of postcodes, individual businesses or wards to target (depending on the data used inside, or linked to, the system). The image shows all those prospects close to the existing delivery route coloured as pink and listed within GeoConcept.

Another key method of looking for areas where new business should be sought is called auto-correlation. GeoConcept updates each customer with the value of business gained from all the other customers with in the specified radius. GeoConcept can then be set to colour all locations where the value of business within the specified distance is greater than a user chosen value. Immediately the map will highlight areas where there is a high concentration of order value.
