The Role

Working in a small, professional sales team, this role will involve:

  • Becoming an expert in our solutions and how they solve the different problems faced within the logistics and supply chain industry
  • Listening to the individual needs of our prospective clients, asking the right questions and showing where we can help
  • Liaising with people at different levels in an organisation including directors, IT and planners
  • Creating a strong pipeline of prospective users of the software. This may be done from a combination of following up incoming leads, meeting prospective clients at industry events, approaching prospective clients over the telephone, the internet and other methods
  • Demonstrating our solutions and working with our consultancy team to show a healthy return on investment
  • Creating compelling proposals to help maximise the business that you will close
  • Providing credible answers to questions and guiding prospective clients through the process to become our client
  • We are professional and don’t use outdated ‘hard sales’ techniques – we would prefer to walk away from business than sell to a company that doesn’t have a genuine need for our products. We want a long list of clients that are delighted to be working with us
  • Selling to clients in the UK and maybe other countries (currently we proactively sell to the UK & Ireland, North America and Australasia). The role will involve travel within the UK and in time may provide opportunities for international travel.
  • Working to hit and exceed your targets and making a significant contribution to the expansion of the company

The Candidate

  • We are recruiting for more than one sales consultant as a result of company expansion
  • The successful candidates for these roles may come from a variety of backgrounds and may have different levels of experience
  • You may be a graduate straight out of university keen to show the world what you can do, you may have had one or two roles already or you may be a seasoned professional looking for an appropriate next step  to further your career

Essential – if this is you then we may have a perfect role for you

  • You have an ambition to succeed in what you do and the drive to make things happen in your career
  • You are a natural communicator, at home with people at all levels, able to communicate complex things in a simple way
  • You are at home with technology and computer software, able to communicate technical things to non-technical people
  • You are a fast learner
  • You are comfortable working to targets
  • You always operate with high levels of integrity
  • You are happy to work in a small organisation with ambitions of significant growth
  • You must be able to commute to Brentford, West London, every day

Beneficial – not essential but it will help if you have some of these

  • Experience in (a) sales role(s), ideally selling technology in a B2B environment, with a track record of achieving targets
  • Experience of the logistics or supply chain sectors
  • An interest in maps, technology, solving problems
  • Glowing references from your previous employment
  • A good degree
